MISSÃO EM CHOKWE
Milhares de famílias deslocadas pela cheias
Chókwè (Moçambique), em 16 Janeinoro de 2026 – A cidade de Chókwè e a vila sede de Guijá, na província de Gaza, sul de Moçambique, Foram engolidas pelas águas resultantes de chuvas intensas e, sobretudo, das descargas massivas da barragem de Massingir, elevando o risco de uma inundação de grandes proporções.
A principal origem desta inundação está na barragem de Massingir, localizada no rio dos Elefantes, principal afluente do Limpopo.
